NGL. I found the scene where Hymm chasing Hyunkcel at the beginning of episode very goofy. It was like Hyunkcel snatched someone's purse and Hymm was a police running after him lol

Hyunckel always gotta have a moment where he disrespects someone even if for a few seconds he never disappoints.. poor hardlar he was a pawn who only wanted to have a hyunckel moment.

Could be wrong but I'm guessing Mystvearn is a clone of the Dark King, like some way to regain his youth or something. Also I quite enjoyed the Baran Hadlar fight, some nice perspectives in it and not a bit of clunky CGI in sight and Hadlar's character development has been the best this season IMO. Interested to see what Hadlar does next because I doubt he or Baran died in that explosion and no way is he going back to the Dark King's camp. Honestly isn't unthinkable for him to join Dai's group but I'd like to see something a little less cliche.

Edit: just realized the similarities in their names lol Dark King: Vearn...Myst-Vearn, duh. I'm slow.

Myst-Vearn is not a clone, but the physical body of King Vearn while the old guy is the mind. The body is being control by that demon at his forehead.

I do think they died in the explosion, though: the tomb at the op, the mourning Dai in the ending, the name of the next episode, the massive death flags Baran's been raising for weeks now also the chess pieces are nowhere to be found, maybe because their life was linked to Hadlar, also the "young Vearn" I think he's like a younger, stronger body King Vearn made for himself for him to transplant his mind to, that Myst is currently protecting via possession

Hadler is the second half-antagonist I actually feel really sorry for and think they deserve an anime of their own by all suffering they had to deal to arrive here.

First character was Slaine Troyard from Aldnoah Zero.

I mean the anime is sad when the main character loses all his mates unfairly but wins it, But when it's the antagonist you just know he had nothing positive to go with. He just lived miserable and died even more miserable.
